Public Speaking and Presentations Skills Workshop

    Objectives

    • To develop a personal presentation style that best suits each individual participant.

    • To overcome initial public speaking nerves through the preparation of a logical structure for the ideas to be presented. To learn to plan to talk to a time limit - and how to keep to it.

    • To encourage body language while speaking that radiates confidence and a sense of purpose. Helping with the special needs of those delegates who will not be speaking in their mother-tongue or presenting to audiences in a language other than their own.

    • To give each delegate four opportunities to practice professional/ social presentations: to inform, to persuade, to mark an occasion, and to answer questions. Using videos of the Public Speaking and Prestentation skills workshop and group discussion to help improve voice, clarity of speaking and non-verbal signals.

    • Skills with visual aids. To enable presenters to select and design visual aids for their presentations which create interest, help understanding and make the spoken message more memorable.
