Presentation Skills and Running and Contributing to Meetings

    Method

The seminar will start with agreeing common and individual objectives for the two days. So the following programme is a list of the subjects we will probably cover in greater or lesser detail, depending on the needs of the participants. The course leader will ensure that the subjects will be treated at the appropriate level of interest and experience.

The two days will be intensive, participative and practical rather than theoretical. Each speaker's talk will be video-taped - the rest of the course members, with the guidance of the course leader, will assess and advise. The aim is not to produce 'carbon-copy' speakers of a perceived ideal, but to build on each individual's strengths and to encourage and build on personal style. The involvement of all participants in the firm but constructive and sensitive criticism of each speaker ensures that they will all be involved all of the time.
